SUMMARY:

Memorializing resolution; PACE. Urges the United States Congress to proceed immediately with an extension of waivers to the Program for All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) or to pass S. 999, extending provider status to PACE. The purpose of the proposed congressional action is to allow PACE to receive provider status for purposes of reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid. PACE is designed to provide comprehensive community-based services to the frail elderly as an alternative to conventional nursing home care.
