Introduced by: Stanley C. Walker | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Study; Joint Commission on Health Care; task force study of point-of-service plans. Directs the Joint Commission on Health Care to establish a task force to study options of point-of-service plans for Virginia's businesses. Such options should provide these opportunities without increasing the amount of the employer's contribution to health benefits. Point-of-service health insurance plans provide benefits for services received outside of a health maintenance organization's provider panel, although at a higher cost or lower level of coverage.
