SUMMARY:

Tuition rates for in-state students at public institutions of higher education. Expresses the objective of the Commonwealth to return to a policy of funding an average of 70 percent of the costs of higher education to reduce tuition and fees for in-state students at public colleges and universities, subject to the availability of sufficient general fund revenues. The resolution also notes that the Commonwealth should strive to reduce the costs of tuition and fees to make postsecondary education more affordable for the citizens of the Commonwealth.
