SUMMARY:
Smoke detectors in certain residences and facilities. Allows localities to provide by ordinance that local fire marshals or building code officials may require specific types of smoke detectors in any building containing one or more dwelling units or rooming house used to provide overnight sleeping accommodations, if he determines that the owner or management of such building or rooming house is either unwilling or unable to maintain working smoke detectors.
