Introduced by: Joseph B. Benedetti | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Charitable Gaming Commission; use of proceeds by fraternal organizations operating under the lodge system. Permits charitable gaming proceeds to be used for the fraternal purposes for which the fraternal organization operating under the lodge system is specifically chartered or organized, including the acquisition, construction, maintenance, or repair of any interest in real estate used for such fraternal purposes. The bill also strikes the current requirement that such proceeds be used for, among other authorized uses, "proper operating costs" and inserts "proper costs of conducting its charitable gaming."
