SUMMARY:

Juvenile court proceedings; public access. Requires the clerks of the juvenile and family courts to make available after a preliminary hearing at which probable cause is found, the name of a juvenile 14 or older and the date and time of further proceedings to be held. This will facilitate public access to criminal proceedings involving older juveniles. The bill also allows the clerk to make available the date and time of any hearing involving a juvenile 14 or older who is alleged to have committed any felony, but the juvenile's name remains confidential until after the preliminary hearing.
