SUMMARY:
Independent examination of forensic DNA evidence. Requires, if feasible, that the entity performing a DNA analysis return unused, untested portions of the sample to the agency which initially submitted it for testing. Any subsequent independent anyalysis of theses samples are required to be perfomed by a laboratory which meets FBI standards.
This bill is recommended by the Crime Commission.
