SUMMARY:

Banks; bank agent for depository institution. Clarifies a Virginia bank's ability to act as an agent for other depository institutions. This bill removes, with reference to state banks, certain limitations placed on national banks by federal law. As a Virginia corporation, a Virginia bank has the ability to act as an agent for other depository institutions.
