SUMMARY:
Automobile repair facilities; loss or damage due to intentional criminal acts; strict liability. Holds automobile repair facilities strictly liable for any damage to or loss of a motor vehicle in its care, custody or control caused by an intentional criminal act. This bill also creates an exception to the current statutory exclusion provided for policies or contracts of bodily injury or property damage liability insurance issued to persons employed or otherwise engaged in the business of repairing or servicing motor vehicles.
