SUMMARY:
Property tax exemption by classification. Provides separate classifications for all personal property owned by Habitat for Humanity and its local affiliates and subsidiaries throughout the Commonwealth; all tangible personal property employed in a trade or business other than that described in subdivisions 1 through 18 in § 58.1-3503 A; and programmable computer equipment and peripherals employed in a trade or business from local personal property taxation. This would allow each locality to determine the rate for such personal property to be any amount, including $0.
