SUMMARY:
Circuit court clerks' discretion to accept credit card payment. Adds the Counties of Alleghany, Amherst, Appomattox, Augusta, Bath, Bland, Buckingham, Charles City, Charlotte, Cumberland, Greensville, Halifax, Highland, Lunenburg, Nelson, Nottoway, Rockbridge, Surrey, and Sussex and the City of Staunton to the list of counties and cities wherein the clerks are given the discretion to accept credit card payments in lieu of cash for fines and costs. In jurisdictions other than those listed, the clerk, pursuant to § 19.2-353.3, is required to accept credit card payments.
