SUMMARY:

Public assistance; day care. Requires the Department of Social Services to fully fund daycare for the children of AFDC recipients, participants in the Virginia Initiative for Employment Not Welfare (VIEW), and former VIEW participants for 12 months after termination of AFDC financial assistance if the individual is employed; enrolled full-time in, and making satisfactory progress toward completion of, job placement, education services, job training or educational programs designed to result in self-sufficiency; or is otherwise eligible for day care pursuant to State Board of Social Services regulations.
