1997 SESSION
SB 659 Absentee voting procedures.
Introduced by: Kevin G. Miller | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Absentee voting procedures. Modifies the present law requirement that at least two officers of election must be present when absentee ballots are cast in person on voting equipment before the election day. The bill waives this requirement when the absentee ballots are cast on voting equipment located in the office of the general registrar or the secretary of the electoral board so long as the general registrar, an assistant registrar, or the secretary of the electoral board is present. The requirement that at least two officers of election must be present would continue to apply to locations other than these offices.
