SUMMARY:
Sales and use tax exemption; Barter Theatre. Provides a sales and use tax exemption from July 1, 1997, through June 30, 1998, for a nonprofit tax-exempt organization which is organized to encourage public interest in the fine and performing arts; to provide an opportunity for the general public to observe the works of distinguished classical and contemporary artists; and to provide instruction and training for individuals in, and facilities for experimentation and development of, the composition and presentation of the fine and performing arts, including writing, painting, sculpture, musical composition, theatre design, acting, voice, moving and still photography, recording, costuming, dancing, staging, directing and theatre management.
