SUMMARY:
Personal protection. Provides that the owner, lessee, manager, etc., of the bar area of any business licensed to serve alcohol may, with notice to the patrons thereof, prohibit the carrying of handguns in that area. The bill also removes any requirement of fingerprinting upon permit renewal if the applicant was fingerprinted previously and includes the cost of an FBI records check in the fee paid to local law-enforcement officials for the background check.
