SUMMARY:
Sales and use tax exemption; nonprofit civic and community service organizations. Grants sales and use tax exemptions to any nonprofit organization exempt from taxation under § 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code organized to provide free legal assistance to low-income clients. Virginia Legal Aid Society, Inc., would be among the beneficiaries of the legislation.
