SUMMARY:
Transfer of certain students. Requires local school boards, upon the written request of an emancipated student or the parent of a minor student, to permit such student who was the victim of any crime against the person committed by another student attending classes in the school, any employee of the school board, any volunteer, contract worker, or other person who regularly performs services in the school, to transfer to another comparable school within the school division, if available. Transportation services will be provided in accordance with the school board policies. This measure is identical to HB 2666.
