SUMMARY:
Child custody; jurisdiction. Provides that child custody, visitation and support matters, other than criminal nonsupport cases, currently heard in the juvenile court, may be removed to the circuit court and will be appealed to the Court of Appeals whether heard in the juvenile or circuit court. The juvenile court must give notice to the parties upon filing that the matter will be appealable only to the Court of Appeals.
