1997 SESSION
SB 1040 Motorcycle dealers.
Introduced by: Charles L. Waddell | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Motorcycle dealers. Expands ability of motorcycle dealers to sue manufacturers, factory branches, distributors, distributor branches and factory or distributor representatives in the Commonwealth and, provides additional means for challenging establishment of new motorcycle dealer franchises by requiring the franchisor to give advance notice to existing dealers before a new dealership can be created in the same area. The bill further provides that discontinuation, nonrenewal, or cancellation of certain motorcycle dealer franchises is unfair.
