SUMMARY:
Funds from telephone service or credit cards. Provides that any school board may enter into a contract with a commercial institution for the issuance of a telephone service or credit card that would bear the name or logo, or both, of the school board. The contract shall provide that a portion or percentage of the revenue generated by the use of such card will be returned to the local governing body, to be placed in a fund for public school purposes, for subsequent appropriation to the school board. Any such appropriation shall supplement, not supplant, any local funding for educational purposes.
