SUMMARY:

Resolution; air quality standards. Requests the Department of Environmental Quality and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership to conduct studies related to United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposals to strengthen ozone and particulate air quality standards. The resolution expresses General Assembly opposition to such changes, requests EPA to refrain from making the changes, and urges Congress to take legislative action to prevent the changes and to require a review of the scientific basis upon which air quality standards are determined by EPA.
