SUMMARY:
Study; motor carriers. Requests the Department of Motor Vehicles to study the regulation of motor carriers to ensure that motor carrier operators are providing safe, equitably priced, quality service, and to determine whether unnecessary barriers block qualified motor carrier competitors from entering the marketplace. The subject matter of this resolution was referred by a letter from the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation, requesting that a study be conducted.
