SUMMARY:
Constitutional amendment (first resolution); exemption for owner-occupied principle dwellings. Permits the General Assembly to allow the governing body of any county, city, or town to provide for a partial exemption from real property taxation. The exemption shall not exceed 25 percent of the assessed value of land and improvements occupied as the primary residence of its owner. The General Assembly may prescribe restrictions and conditions on this exemption.
