SUMMARY:

Study; state Medivac System. Establishes a joint subcommittee to study the state Medivac System. The joint subcommittee is requested to evaluate the state's Medivac System to ensure the continuation of an excellent and efficient statewide emergency medical services system. The joint subcommittee is requested, among other things, to study the operations, mission, and funding of public and private Medivac providers, and examine the implications of certain policy considerations, administrative protocols, and funding exigencies which may threaten service delivery and the continued viability of the Medivac System. The subject matter of this resolution was referred by a letter from the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, requesting that a study be conducted.
