SUMMARY:

Study; feasibility and economic impact of building a major convention center in Northern Virginia. Requests the Virginia Tourism Corporation to study the feasibility and economic impact of building a major convention center and exposition in Northern Virginia. The resolution directs that this study be undertaken as part of the Corporation's broader examination of the need for the construction of major convention facilities throughout the Commonwealth pursuant to House Joint Resolution No. 609 (1997).
