SUMMARY:
Memorializing resolution; Attorney General. Expresses the sense of the General Assembly that the Attorney General should withdraw his petition for a writ of certiorari in the case of the Commonwealth of Virginia v. Browner. This case involves issues related the citizens' ability to challenge the content of air emission permits. A writ of certiorari would allow appeal to the United States Supreme Court of a Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals decision finding that Virginia's current standing requirement is inconsistent with the federal Clean Air Act.
