SUMMARY:

Memorializing the USDA and NASA. Memorializes the United States Department of Agriculture to adopt a proposal by the National Resources Conservation Service, Virginia's Soil and Water Conservation districts, and the National Center for Resource Innovations-Chesapeake, Inc. to the "Fund for Rural America Program," to assist Virginia in developing an environmental information system that meets present and future needs of the Commonwealth and its localities and agricultural communities. The Fund for Rural America's broad purpose is to support communities including economic development together with innovative environmental stewardship, while enhancing agricultural profitability, efficiency and international competitiveness. NASA is also urged to cooperate in the project because of its many advanced technologies and projects that are applicable to the proposal.
