SUMMARY:
Trade and commerce; digital signatures. Establishes a regulatory framework for the use of digitized signatures, thereby enabling what is referred to as electronic commerce. Such framework provides the basis by which individuals and businesses can electronically authenticate business contracts and other agreements exchanged over computer networks without the necessity of obtaining pen-and-ink signatures.
