SUMMARY:
Virginia Academic Achievement and Development Pilot Program. Creates the Virginia Academic Achievement and Development Pilot Program, which is designed to provide intense academic, developmental, enrichment, and residential experiences for rising ninth and tenth grade disadvantaged minority male students who have the potential for success at the postsecondary level.
This bill is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Status and Needs of African American Males in Virginia.
