SUMMARY:
Smoke detectors. Requires that, beginning July 1, 1999, smoke detectors which are AC-powered with battery backup shall be installed in certain multi-family dwelling units, adult care residences, adult day-care centers, nursing homes, and nursing facilities. Such smoke detectors shall be installed on each floor and in all bedrooms of each such structures.
