SUMMARY:

Health insurance credits for retired members of the Virginia Retirement System. Increases the maximum monthly credit for retired state employees from $75 to $90 and from $45 to $90 for teachers and employees of local government, unless the governing body opts out of the increases by notifying the Board of Trustees on or before July 1, 1997.
