SUMMARY:
Criminal statistics reports. Requires the Departments of Corrections, Juvenile Justice, and Correctional Education to collect data pertaining to the demographical characteristics of certain prison populations, including the race or ethnicity, age, and gender of such persons, their educational levels, and the learning disabilities and health-related problems prevalent among such persons. Beginning July 1, 1997, the Departments must collect such data quarterly and report their findings annually to the Governor and the General Assembly.
