SUMMARY:
Public assistance; Virginia Initiative for Employment Not Welfare (VIEW). Provides that local departments of social services may reduce or eliminate an individual's work requirement under VIEW so that the individual may complete training and/or education to further his employability. The local department may consider the individual's commitment to his training or education program in its evaluation, but there shall be no requirement that a participant be enrolled in such training or education program prior to or at the time of entry into VIEW in order for the work requirement to be reduced or eliminated.
