1997 SESSION
HB 2567 Persons rendering certain care immune from liability.
Introduced by: Robert D. Orrock, Sr. | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Persons rendering certain care and immunity from liability. Revises the descriptors for persons provided immunity for delivering instruction to emergency medical services personnel for certification and recertification to more closely match reality. Currently, the immunity runs to any individual certified by the State Office of Emergency Medical Services as an emergency medical services instructor who has a written agreement with such office to provide instruction to persons for certification or recertification as basic life support or advanced life support emergency medical services technicians. At this time, many of the people providing this needed service are subcontractors and, although they are experts, they may not be certified as instructors.
