SUMMARY:
Juveniles. Expands the jurisdiction of the juvenile court to allow the court to reach a broader range of persons who have contact and relationships with a juvenile who is subject to the court's jurisdiction. The bill also standardizes terminology used in various provisions of Titles 16.1 and 63.1 to generally include parents, guardians, legal custodians, and persons standing in loco parentis whenever it appears that the Code contemplates action with respect to persons having some form of legal relationship with a child.
