HB 2500 Reissuance of driver's license of an habitual offender.
Introduced by: William P. Robinson, Jr. | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Reissuance of driver's license of an habitual offender. Removes one of three provisions of the Code permitting reissuance by DMV of a driver's license to a person once determined to be an habitual offender. Currently a license may not be reissued until the Commissioner's determination is reversed by a court, a court orders restoration or the Commonwealth's attorney certifies that the offender should not be so identified. This bill removes the Commonwealth's attorney's option to make a determination. The bill is recommended by VASAP.
