SUMMARY:

Workers' compensation; opinion and award. Modifies provisions in the Virginia Workers' Compensation Act currently referring to the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission's determinations as "awards" to include the Commission's "opinions." The bill also requires awards and opinions to be sent to the parties at issue by registered or certified mail.
