Introduced by: John J. Davies III | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Under-age drinking and driving (zero tolerance). Changes penalty for driving while under the age of 21 and with any blood alcohol content to a Class 1 misdemeanor and a one-year license suspension. This change makes the law more consistent with recent amendments to the law prohibiting under-age possession of alcohol. Juvenile disposition is specifically set at not less than a $500 fine or 50 hours of community service, and loss or restriction of license. The bill is recommended by VASAP.
