SUMMARY:
Regulation of aquaculture. Requires the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services to promulgate regulations for the licensing of freshwater aquaculture facilities and prohibits the Board of Game and Inland Fisheries from regulating such facilities. The provisions of the bill preventing the Board of Game and Inland Fisheries from regulating aquaculture will become effective on the effective date of the regulations promulgated by the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services. No license shall be required to fish from a freshwater aquaculture facility by the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.
