SUMMARY:

Special orders of Board of Health for waterworks violations. Authorizes the Board of Health to issue special orders to require compliance with laws, regulations or case decisions in instances of waterworks violations. The special orders will only be issued after a hearing and will be considered a case decision. The special order must be consistent with federal requirements and may include civil penalties of not more than $ 1,000 for each day of violation. The penalties conform with recently enacted amendments to the federal Safe Drinking Water Act.
