SUMMARY:

Local cigarette tax; statewide for localities. Allows all counties, cities and towns to impose a local cigarette tax. Any county currently imposing the tax may increase the cigarette tax rate by up to 10 cents while any county not currently imposing the tax may impose it at a rate not to exceed 10 cents.
