HB 2094 Junior lifetime hunting license.

Introduced by: Glenn M. Weatherholtz | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Junior lifetime hunting license. Creates a junior lifetime hunting license for residents and nonresidents under the age of 12. Currently, an individual under 12 is prohibited from obtaining such a license. The junior license would be valid for hunting only when accompanied by a licensed adult, until the person is 12 years old. At that time, the license may be upgraded to a permanent lifetime hunting license if the individual presents proof of completion of a hunter education course, an equivalent course, or a hunting license issued by another state or country. The cost of this permanent license is $250 for a resident and $500 for a nonresident.

The bill also provides a sliding scale of fees for lifetime licenses for residents 45 years of age and older.
