SUMMARY:

Release of identifying information on juvenile escapee. Allows the Department of Juvenile Justice, without a court order, to release to the public identifying information (e.g., photograph, name) on a serious juvenile offender who escapes from the custody of the Department, a Department employee or a facility operated under contract with the Department following disposition on a major felony. If the serious juvenile offender escapes from a local secure facility, the attorney for the Commonwealth where the facility is located is authorized to release the information.
