HB 2016 Certificate of public need.

Introduced by: David G. Brickley | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Certificate of public need. Modifies the extent to which the certificate of public need program will include single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The definition of "medical care facility" relating to specialized centers or clinics, outpatient or ambulatory surgery centers, or certain services in physician's offices is revised to remove SPECT and replace it with the term "nuclear medicine imaging." The definition of "project" is similarly revised to cover the introduction of "nuclear medicine imaging" rather than SPECT and to eliminate coverage of projects which are additions to or replacements of SPECT. This bill deregulates, to some extent, the certificate of public need program for hospitals and other users of SPECT.
