SUMMARY:
Sexual assaults; medical records. Authorizes treating physicians and facilities to release medical information to the Commonwealth's attorney for use in an investigation, with the consent of a patient who is the alleged victim of a specified sexual offense. Minors are granted the authority to consent to the release of this information, but a minor's consent is not required if the Commonwealth's attorney suspects that a parent or guardian is the perpetrator.
