SUMMARY:

Fees collected by clerks of court. Requires the payment of filing fees by the parties when a case is transferred from one venue to another. This amendment is in response to an Attorney General's opinion that, upon a transfer of venue, the clerk of the circuit court to which the case has been transferred is without statutory authority to charge additional filing fees. (See Opinion of the Attorney General to Michael M. Foreman, Clerk, Circuit Court of Winchester, May 19, 1995.)
