HB 1959 Registration of physicians to administer heroin as a medicine.

Introduced by: Clifton A. Woodrum | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Registration of physicians to administer heroin as a medicine. Repeals the section of the Code requiring the Pharmacy Board to establish registration procedures for physicians who would prescribe and administer heroin as a medicine. This section, although established some years ago, has never been operative, having never gone into effect. The provision establishing this section included a second enactment making the effective date of the section contingent on the establishment of federal law allowing states to establish these registration procedures for the administration of heroin. No such federal law has been established.
