SUMMARY:
Flunitrazepam; Enhanced penalties for Drug Control Act violations. Deems the drug flunitrazepam to be listed on Schedule I for the purposes of penalties for violations of the Drug Control Act (§ 54.1-3400 et seq.). Flunitrazepam is also known as Rohypnol and has been used as the "date-rape" drug. This bill enhances the penalties for knowingly manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing the drug flunitrazepam by providing that punishments of these violations will be under the penalties in §§ 18.2-248 and 18.2-250.
