SUMMARY:

Public Procurement Act; preference for community reinvestment activities in certain contracts. Removes the July 1, 1997, sunset on the provision which allows certain localities, under affordable housing programs, to provide for certain preferences for community reinvestment activities in awarding contracts. As a result, this preference will become permanent. The bill also increases from 25 to 50 percent the amount of funds which may be invested.
