SUMMARY:

Purposes of Literary Fund loans. Provides the Board of Education with the authority to make Literary Fund loans for purchasing and installing educational technology equipment and infrastructure. The report submitted pursuant to Item 131 of HB 30 of 1996 suggested that the Board of Education revise its regulations to allow loans from the Literary Fund for educational technology; however, at this time, the Board's statutory authority does not include this purpose.
